【摘要】:ThistestmethodisintendedtodeterminetheeffectsoffreezingandthawingonunitsconformingtothedimensionalrequirementsofSpecificationC936/C936Mwhileimmersedinatestsolution.OthertypesofsegmentalconcretepavingunitsthatdonotconformtothedimensionalrequirementsofSpecificationC936/C936Mmaybetestedusingthistestmethod.TheresultsfromthistestmethodarenotintendedtoprovideaquantitativemeasureofthelengthofservicefromconcretepavingunitsconformingtothedimensionalrequirementsofSpecificationC936/C936M.1.1ThistestmethodevaluatestheresistancetofreezingandthawingofsolidinterlockingconcretepavingunitsconformingtothedimensionalrequirementsofSpecificationC936/C936M.Unitsaretestedinatestsolutionthatiseithertapwateror3%salinesolution,dependingontheintendeduseoftheunitsinactualservice.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,inany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuseofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationpriortouse.
